On a beautiful sunny day at a Utah college campus, Charlie Kirk, a political commentator, author, radio host, and founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on stage while he was speaking to a large crowd who came out to hear his positive words about freedom, religion and the state of our country.
A fatal shot to his neck from a rifle which appears to have come from an elevated position, left him mortally wounded. News first reported the assassin had been caught and arrested in the late afternoon on Wednesday, but that man has since been released. The real murderer has not been apprehended, though breaking news around 6:30PM EST had FBI Director, Kash Patel, saying the suspect had now been found and is in custody.
Kirk was largely popular with young students who are opposed to the liberal indoctrination on their college campuses, those of faith, and who hold conservative values. Kirk was unpopular with those who disagreed with his agenda and as someone who did not promote their socialist movement.

Leaving behind a beautiful wife and two small children, most of America is praying for his family who is surely stunned to have lost their husband and father today. The good people of America all pray for the entire Kirk family and for the positive direction of our country as it was foreseen by our Founding Fathers. Charlie Kirk will be remembered for the enormous impact he had guiding others to his love of Country and respect for our Constitution.

Update: Scrolling through the news since early this morning, the one thing I need to add to my post here is that FBI Director Kash Patel is reportedly standing with Dan, as well. Sources say he will resign along with Bongino if Dan leaves his position. Other news items said that both Bondi and Patel would not leave their appointments regardless of any infighting between the AG and FBI leadership.
The only other thing of interest to me was the simple verification, according to another news article, was that the missing minute of Epstein’s jail cell footage at midnight had been edited by Adobe Premiere, a long standing software that has user friendly versions for home videos and professional versions for people in the entertainment industry or other businesses.
Reports say the White House said, in general, that there was nothing to this story and everything was fine between the FBI’s Director, Deputy Director and AG Pam Bondi.

Deputy FBI Director spars with Attorney General Pam Bondi
July 11, 2025
Written by Juliana Simone
Washington, D.C. – Current Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Dan Bongino, took a pass on work today taking a personal day to assumably reconsider his position there as it stands today. Differences between him and U.S. AG Pam Bondi, after her public statement about how there was nothing to see in regards to the ongoing story about how Jeffrey Epstein died in jail, made Bongino walk out as the two disagreed in terms of the conclusion.
Bongino, who for his millions of followers as a top ten podcaster, before he took the job to be the DD under Kash Patel, has always been brazenly honest about his career from his days as a New York police officer and later as a Secret Service special agent on the Presidential detail where he protected three Presidents of the United States.
Moving forward to become one of the few people asked to replace famed radio host Rush Limbaugh’s coveted time slot after his death, Bongino’s fan base grew to daily viewer numbers at over 100,000 each day. Mixing humor with insider knowledge from his work as a policeman and SS agent, his appeal reached a large audience for both of these reasons.
One of the things he used to say before taking the assignment under FBI Director Kash Patel, was that everyone listening had a real job, whereas he just talked into a camera and reported daily news, insights, and personal stories. He told all of his followers, myself included, that when President Trump called him and asked him to serve under Patel, there was no way he could say no. His fan base agreed he should go back to Washington D.C., where he was needed. Bongino and his “chatsters” hoped he would find out some answers to many of the mysteries that were successfully buried by the swamp.
This brings us back to today’s news. Bongino would not leave a position he was called to do for his country unless there was a real breach. I stand with Dan Bongino. A man of his word who is a good husband, father, loyal employee and American. Best of all, he has FY money so he is not tied to any backroom deals.
As someone who has reported on politics for almost 20 years, researching Bondi and Patel for more details during their nominations, I was surprised to read they both had ties to Qatar. Is this relevant today? I don’t know. Let the experts figure this out. Victor Davis Hanson would be someone good to ask among others. As more news breaks, we’ll learn more and I’ll follow up on this story.
What is it with Republicans when they have the power?
Written by Juliana Simone
July 2, 2025
As someone with twenty years of working for the Republican Party as a paid staffer or a volunteer, in addition to being a long-term town RTC Chairman, state delegate, and someone who had a cable public access political interview half hour show for 14 years, I’m still amazed to witness how whenever Republicans have the Presidency, House and Senate majorities, they falter on anything that could be achieved. It’s a big fail.
Democrats, whenever given this opportunity, instantly ram everything through… regardless of public opinion. Most recently, under Biden, they used lawfare to try to arrest our sitting President under any means, all of which were bogus. Who cares to them? They tried with any false story, charge, or twist of the law they could for their end result. Take out Donald J. Trump. The man the majority of America loved and voiced their opinions of what our country should be and return to after both four years of Biden and 8 years of Obama. Hard to leave out the Clintons.
Republican holdouts. Vote for this bill. Move forward after this passes. The Democrats want this bill to fail. Are you with them?
The mainstream media, or whatever you want to call these networks today, keep pushing the false narratives about the contents of this bill. It is to their advantage in 2026. Example: The taxes have increased because of Trump and his Party. No, they will have increased because the Democrats didn’t vote for the big beautiful bill that would have extended tax cuts made by Donald J. Trump.
I know the Americans who voted for Trump want to see extra funds extended to finishing the border wall, deportation of first and foremost illegal aliens who are criminals and potential terrorists, election law integrity (i.e. real voter I.D. required in every state), no war, and the many things President Trump promised on his campaign: no taxes on tips/overtime, no taxes on seniors, raising the cap on SALT deductions, and raising the Child Tax Credit to $2,200 per child.
These are just some of the good things no one seems to want to focus on. Especially members of the Republican Party. Again, Democrats in this same situation would have passed everything immediately, extended the Supreme Court judges to their advantage, arrested more political enemies under unfounded charges and redrawn all districts in every state to make sure they never lost a seat again, statewide or nationally.
What are the Republicans who are not voting for this bill thinking? Our elected officials need to go long term. Not short term.
There are three very important elections tomorrow that Trump supporters must go out and vote for his endorsed candidates at their polling place. Democrats have spent tens of millions of dollars to try to flip the two Congressional special election races in Florida, as well as the Wisconsin Supreme Court race as to who will take the place of the retiring Judge and how it will affect the state of Wisconsin going forward.
In Florida:
Vote for Republican candidate Randy Fine (FL-6)
Jimmy Patronis (FL-1)
Of course, both of them are very qualified to serve in Congress.
In Wisconsin:
Vote for Republican candidate Brad Schimel to serve on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Long impressive resume.
Huge money has poured into the Wisconsin judgeship race, because if the democrat party can take this seat, they will retain their 4-3 majority and will move to redistrict the state map, which would likely take away two Republican held House of Representative seats.
This movie is brilliant. So many people I know had already seen it and told me to go. I did tonight. Kudos to the stars and crew of this incredibly moving film. Walking in, I expected it to be good, considering the subject matter, in addition to the Facebook censorship of its marketing. After some publicity this appears to have been settled now. What I did not expect was how exceptional “Reagan” would be, nor how many times tears would roll down my face.
What this movie shows is what an amazing man of strength, resilience, faith and patriotism, Ronald Wilson Reagan was as the United States of America’s fortieth President. He defines what ‘one in a million’ means and that number is too small. Actor Dennis Quaid, who I always love to think of as the confident pilot in Tom Wolfe’s “The Right Stuff” film adaptation, who asks, “who’s the best pilot you know,” surprised me with his performance as he brought us in closer with each scene to seeing Reagan and not himself.
All of the casting is notable. Jon Voight made a low key appearance as the Russian who recalls how his country perceived Reagan from his first major win as Governor of California to his two terms as America’s Commander in Chief, and how he studied the man since his childhood through his years as an actor. It is the correct narrative that Voight does well. There are some stark parallels to former President and current republican President nominee, Donald J. Trump presented in his lines throughout the film.
The key to great casting is that it’s seamless, in that no one is in the show that shouldn’t be or who is too recognizable to be seen as a different character. Long-time actress Leslie-Anne Down is unrecognizable as the late great Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Margaret Thatcher.
The political research is also outstanding. I was just old enough to vote for Reagan, twice, and it was engaging to see so many names I remembered who were in his administration and newsworthy at the time that I had not thought about for some time. The scenes with Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the Soviet Union before its dissolution in 1991 and before today’s Russian President, Vladimir Putin, put viewers right within their tough negotiations and their friendly moments as two members of the human race first.
The cinematography, by Christian Sebaldt, is stunning throughout. Action scenes of the attempted assassination of Reagan, historic scenes of the fortieth President in front of the Berlin Wall, and the landscape shots are all visually engrossing and remarkable.
Writer Klausner, does a fine job of getting into the script all of Reagan’s most famous quotes which defines who he was in terms of sensibility and likability.
The ending is sublimely beautiful. Reagan, the cowboy, knowing he has to concede to his security man, John Barletta, he can’t ride his beloved horse anymore due to his oncoming Alzheimer condition, rides it one last time on his property in Santa Barbara. Barletta, played by Trevor Donovan, handles this role with the amount of tenderness that must have been necessary in this real life situation.
Stay in your seats after this emotional finish to see an impressive collection of authentic photographs that show during the credit roll. Mikhail Gorbachev running his hand on President Reagan’s coffin is especially poignant, as well as the former First Lady Nancy Reagan resting her head on his casket. For those of us who remember this televised coverage, she wrapped her arms around him from the outside for a long time before being gently taken away.
Directed by Sean McNamara. Written by Howard Klausner based on the book, “The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism” by Paul Kengor.
Former President and 2024 President Candidate Shot at PA Rally
July 14, 2024
The name of the victim in the seats behind Former President and 2024 Republican President Nominee, Donald J. Trump, has been released. Corey Comperatore, 50, was fatally shot during the assassination attempt of Trump at yesterday’s rally. He was a fire chief and died protecting his family by throwing himself in front of his wife and daughters. He regularly attended church services every Sunday, was well-liked in his community and was a proud supporter of Trump.

Two other attendees were also shot and critically wounded.
There is a donation gofundme page for Butler, PA victims that has raised over twice as much as the intial million dollar goal. If you’d like to donate, please look it up under “Support For Butler PA Victims – President Trump Authorized.”
The shooter has also been identified. Twenty-year-old, Thomas Matthew Crooks, drove an hour from his home in PA to climb the roof and plan on assassinating the former President and 2024 Republican nominee. Mainstream media points out he was a registered Republican, but as someone who worked in my own state capitol, I knew several Democrats who chose to register as Republicans so they could vote in our primaries, they told me. Donation records also show Crooks gave to liberal causes.
The BBC also has reported since yesterday, as can be seen on video, a rally attendee told them he saw Crooks on the roof as did several others. They tried to point to the roof and wave to the secret service agents on hand to look up at the man with the rifle, but they received no response.

In a failed assassination attempt at today’s rally in Butler, PA, former President Donald J. Trump escaped the shooter’s goal and was helped off the stage after receiving a gunshot wound in his ear. Reports coming in at 7PM EST are that he is well. Pray for our fine former President who is essentially running for his third term as the 2024 Republican nominee.
This is how desperate the left is in Washington. With their addled incumbent, unpopular Vice President and a very weak bench, why not give it a shot? Pun intended (even though it’s dark humor). These are sick, desperate and anti- American people who apparently had nowhere else to go. President Biden himself said this on a phone call: “We’re done talking about the debate. It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye,” a recording of which was obtained by CNN.
As many have pointed out, President Donald J. Trump has been harassed, falsely accused, slandered, impeached for next to nothing, twice, raided by the FBI, and been found guilty by a New York jury despite there being no crime, with a hostile Pro-Biden judge presiding who conducted a trial to preside that legal commentators regardless of political party, had never seen the likes of before in re its irregularities, unfairness, instructions to jurors before their verdict and leaks.
Even with an unexpected wound, Trump showed how strong a man he is by putting his fist up to the crowd while security put him in an SUV, and yelling, “Fight!” Thankfully, no supporters were shot sitting behind him.*
The media has reported that sitting President Joe Biden has been informed. I guess the news was, “Sorry, Joe. We missed.” Kidding. Sort of…who really knows? This has been done before.
With more information coming forth over two hours later, in my opinion, why did the shooter miss? Was he a bad shot? Or, did he miss for a different reason, i.e. to instigate an uprise from the devoted Trump supporters?

*Writing this as news is breaking, I am sorry to relate a now confirmed report that a man sitting behind the former President, was shot and killed. The shooter has also been killed.
Reports keep updating, naturally. New details say that two people were injured from the shots. *Trump’s injury was from teleprompter shrapnel.
Biden will be making a televised appearance to address this news tonight.
The shooter has now been identified as a Chinese Nationalist. As reported by the New York Post:
The shooter, identified as a Chinese man, was in a sniper position located hundreds of yards away from Trump’s podium in Butler, Pa. as he spoke to a campaign crowd, sources said.
* Former President Donald J. Trump has now released a statement saying it was a bullet that grazed his ear.
Update: 12:27 EST – The information has now changed from the shooter being a Chinese Nationalist to a white male. Details to follow.
Many thanks from all the civilians you’ve protected, saved, and kept free with great bravery, diligence and sacrifice. You are all one of kind. God Bless.
For my followers and viewers or those new to my blog, I encourage you to go out and vote tomorrow. America is the example of freedom still today that allows all eligible people to vote for who their government elected officials are in their state and country. Yes, your one vote does matter. We here in Connecticut have an example of one state seat being won by a single vote. This was in the early 2000’s so that end result would probably not turn out the same today. Recounts have changed dramatically since this time, despite any continued good intentions versus the bad ones that have found opportunistic results however odd to switch the outcome.
That said, candidates that deserve your vote tomorrow across the nation from state office to national seats, in my vue, are the following with quick and short notation:
Candidates for Governor:
Lee Zeldin (NY-R) Governor – I know this state well. It deserves a sounder voice for its residents/taxpayers. The by-default incumbent, Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, trying to be elected by New York voters for the first time with elected three term Governor Andrew Cuomo having to resign after personal scandals in 2021, is in many ways worse than Cuomo.
Kari Lake (AZ-R) – very impressive candidate who has walked the walk during her entire campaign despite her democrat incumbent hiding in the basement and unwilling to debate.
Bob Stefanowski (CT-R) – his second run against trust funder and incumbent Ned Lamont. Stefanowski lost by only 44K votes in 2018. More appealing personally and hard working, over taxed and regulated voters in Connecticut are hoping he wins this November 8th, 2022.
Brian Dahle (CA) – wouldn’t it be great if California voted in Dahle over Newsom? Newsom and his supporters seem to believe he has an even greater future in politics but this is not going to happen. Having lived in CA for 14 years, I feel for the many Republicans, Conservatives and Independents who still continue to live there for needed reasons. Looking at a red/blue map, most of the state votes red but the big hubs smoke them out. It’s a sad story.
Ron DeSantis (FL-R) – Amazing Governor. Check out his resume if you are unfamiliar with it. Incredibly accomplished individual, Veteran, scholar (Yale/Harvard degrees) and politician.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) – Former Press Secretary under President Donald J. Trump (45) and daughter of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee – she’s got it all.
Candidates for U.S. Senate that are in the five heated toss-up races going right into tomorrow plus other important contests:
Senator Ron Johnson (WI-R) – Absolutely deserves re-election. A hard worker who is sincere in his concerns about the future of our country and his state residents.
Candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz (PA-R) – who worked his way through medical school and became a success with old-fashioned hard work. His Democrat opponent is perhaps the worst candidate I’ve ever covered when reporting live or doing research. A trust funder who now perceives himself as a blue collar worker is not only dishonest in his campaign stumps to the true hard backbone of PA, but not capable of fulfilling his job if elected.
Candidate Herschel Walker (GA-R) – so impressive he had to jump so many hurdles to get where he is as an athlete. Not easy to get into the NFL let alone become a star. A team player, Herschel knows how to work the field, take a pass, block the opposition and make a touchdown whether rushing or receiving. Put him in this Senate seat so he can win the game for America.
Candidate Blake Masters (AZ-R) – a young, dedicated, strong voice for Arizona and the many problems it has with its borders and for America as an extra sound voice in the U.S. Senate.
Candidate Adam Lexalt – (NV) Another young contender to bring patriotism back to D.C. and stop the border crisis.
Candidate for U.S. Senate – General Donald Bolduc. No comparison between Bolduc and the incumbent Democrat Maggie Hassan.
Candidate for U.S. Senate – U.S. Representative Ted Budd (NC-13) from North Carolina.

All Navy Seals (Retired) running for office in addition to other veterans. Exceptional patriots and candidates who made your life still a peaceful one despite their sacrifice still standing along with many lost Brothers in Arm.
Incumbent Senator Marco Rubio (FL-R) – Rubio has grown into a true patriot for our country and continues to please his state constituents and national caucus. John Kennedy LA-R is a needed voice in the South that delivers common sense for his constituents and country. Rand Paul (KY-R) is one of the most impressive men I can think of today with his medical knowledge and fortitude.
George Logan for U.S. Congress (CT-5) – A toss up race as of tonight. November 7, 2022. Only candidate I saw out on the trail most of this year with my own U.S. Senate Candidate I was an advisor for, Peter Lumaj, that could keep up with Peter. Not an easy thing. An engineer, he is a former State Senator who is a hard working family man, moderate in policy (which is good for the majority of Connecticut voters) and dedicated. The Constitution State has had zero balance in terms of party leadership since U.S. Rep. Chris Shays lost his re-election in 2008. It’s time to bring at least one Republican voice to represent Connecticut people fairly to Washington.
{Editor’s Note: Anyone I’ve left out – my apologies. The list is long of great candidates in 2022. Best of luck to you this Election Day, 2022.}
The one year anniversary of the passing of radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh hit fans hard today. I’m sure it hit his wife Kathryn the hardest. That said, so many people loved Rush and were touched by his radio presence every day. Although countless listeners never even met him, they felt a personal relationship with the man behind the golden EIB microphone he referred to almost daily. His listeners were instantly comforted when his radio show started, as Rush chortled over any negative news from the left, the swamp, or other global news, reciting the many facts that the mainstream media left out.
His positive attitude was so strong and genuine; it erased any concerns or fears for millions of followers as he performed his usual rustling of papers from which he read real news stories. He added his well executed commentary to pertinent sound bites which targeted people who did not promote a free America, who were scandalized personally either from the political arena or as hypocrites, or who were enemies of the United States.
Rush’s brilliance he described as just to be fair, half his brain was tied behind his back. His patriotism was so devout he left behind a library of books for children that explained real history with true facts; facts that get erased from now typical lessons each year. His love of God and our Country shined in the three hours his program aired daily five days a week and throughout the year except for a rare vacation. His love of golf, the private jet he worked hard for, and the charitable work he rarely spoke about gave him some solace. Sadly, so did the cigars that must have contributed to his early death by lung cancer; hard to say as some smokers live much longer lives.
He candidly spoke about his terminal illness and shared how he made it through many months beyond what his Doctors thought he would. As Kathryn told his audience the day after he was called to a higher place, he did not know the day that would become his last broadcast was going to be his final show.
We all wish he did, in that perhaps he would have given us a special message or story or some small thing he hadn’t already told us…but perhaps God intended it this way, as he’d already provided us with such a wealth of information both personally and professionally. You are missed, Rush Limbaugh.
Many thanks to President Donald J. Trump who awarded him the Medal of Freedom as time was growing thin – a well-deserved honor.
One of the favorite things I heard a commentator say after Rush left this Earth was, “I like to think that he has his hearing back now and he’s really enjoying listening to the music he loved so much.” Beautiful thought – and probably true. The Rush we knew would most assuredly want to be back in his studio fighting the fight he fought so well for decades, setting the record straight, giving peace to his audience and loving every minute of it…but I’m sure where he is now, he is very happy, too.
It’s still worth posting tonight how impressive it was that the Fox News Network raised if not an exact replica of the original fifty foot artificial tree put up this Christmas season, a second one within around 24 hours. In the wake of some person with a criminal history, an arrest was made soon after the crime on seven counts including arson and criminal mischief. The man said in his own words he’d thought all day about burning down the tree, but because it’s New York City that has liberal criminal law, his offense was reduced to three counts.
Fox News Media said in a statement, “We will not let this deliberate and brazen act of cowardice deter us. We are in the process of rebuilding and reinstalling a new tree as a message there can be peace, light and joy even during a moment like this.” Thanks were also given to the NYFD and NYPD for their prompt response and resourcefulness.
